How many of you understand the stock market where you're keeping your money?
Not many of you,and I'd be right.
The stock market isn't guaranteed and your cash in the bank is. And if you plan on hoping
your mutual funds will be the savior for you in retirement;good luck with that.
There are a number of better ways to make money. No,it's not real estate and it's not by
buying a lottery ticket or hoping for that big payout when your parents pass on either.
But I digress. What ever that means.
There are a number of ways to make cash better than hoping your stocks will save you,or
waiting until you start getting that social security check.
Get a job. yeah,get a job. Okay,what you want to do as well is invest in yourself,
not stocks or mutual funds. What types of jobs need skilled workers?
The trades. If you're mechanically inclined and have brains and physically able,you can make
a good living. Be a plumber,sheet metal,electrician,steam fitter,carpenter etc.
As well, there are jobs on the internet which I do. I'm a writer and I make websites for people.
You have to be a bit of a salesman and grind it out,but it's a great way to make extra money.
You can start a business--but research it big time,and use your own money to fund it.
And please make sure it has a good chance of making an income for you.
Lastly,use money you can afford to lose. Yes,afford to lose. Understand?
Okay,a job and making an income on the side using your own money you can afford to lose,
and keep your money safe in the bank will give you peace of mind a mutual fund,stock,real
estate or business funded on a loan from a bank,uncle harry or dad will never give you. .
PS:Here's an even better way to get a gain on your money. When buying groceries and
everyday goods look for deals by buying in bulk. Look for deals on food by looking at
the flyers you get in the mail every week.
There are so many ways to save cash. You could save cash on your rent by taking in a renter
to pay half the rent. Or do the same with your mortgage by taking in a renter.
Think about it, your money will be safe--give you peace of mind and you'll sleep like a baby,and so will the wife.
