Maybe I don't know shit, and that's a good possibility but keeping your cash safe is vital.
I never thought putting cash into an IRA or RRSP was a great idea. I only did it to save on taxes.
Only to have to pay when i take it out.
Doesn't make sense does it?
You're right.
You're better off paying now than later is my mantra.
In the last couple years I haven't put any into an RRSP other than the amount mandated by my employer. It goes into a Pension plan. And that is a waste of time.
But I don't have a choice unfortunately. It's just a small amount so no big deal.
But where should you put your cash?
I say put it in a savings account and CD's at the most. No bullshit with IRA's and RRSP's.
For any americans reading this, an RRSP is a registered retirement plan in Canada.
And yes you'll pay taxes on the CD but at least your cash is safe.
I always bring making money into this. How do you make money?
I say do two things. Work a job if you have to--and start a small business. Use just money you can afford to lose. There are so many ways to make extra cash guys.
I run a small litter pickup biz,and I make extra cash as a writer online.
But going back to the keeping your cash safe thing. If you don't have much cash just keep it in the bank.
These days you're almost better off just keeping it in a bank account anyway.
No you're not making any money on it,but like I said before,at least it's safe there than stupid mutual funds, stocks or putting a lot of cash in a risky business.
And pay your bills too. Don't be known as a "welsher."
Okay,do we have that settled? Keep your cash in the bank.
