Hey guys, I realize what I talk about on this blog is boring and most people don't want to talk about it, but you need to be serious about it.
First of all, money doesn't care about you or me. It has no soul or respect for you. Its just a means to buy things, invest in a business, loan cash to someone or spend like its your last day on earth. Or to pay bills.
Think about it, regardless of how stupid you are with your money, your cash gets distributed around despite your stupidity.
I keep telling people, don't invest your cash in things you don't understand like stocks, mutual funds, real estate or things you just don't get. Don't do it.
If you do start a business, spend money you can afford to lose. I can't make it any clearer than that.
And if you don't understand stocks, real estate or business--either learn these things day and night and then invest cash you can afford to lose, or just keep your cash in a simple bank account or Certificates of Deposit at most.
All my money is in cash and GIC's which are the equivalent of Certificates of Deposit in the USA.
But another thing, when it comes to spending your money on everyday items, keep your savings separate from any bills you pay. That way you won't wonder where all the money went.
If you pay a mortgage, rent, car insurance, groceries and such, keep those in sub accounts.
As well, don't get a credit card. You don't need the aggravation of not being able to pay your credit card bill back. Just pay your bills, keep your cash in a simple bank account, keep monthly bills separated from your savings, and for christ sake don't spend beyond your means!
I realize its tough out there these days.
Okay, chances are you just make money with a job, and maybe the wife works. Don't know.
If you could take a skill you have and start a small business, with money you could afford to lose, isn't that better than getting a loan from someone, and if it fails you still owe them?
Like I said, respect your money.
I started a small cleaning business, and I'm a writer in the music, golf and nutrition field, and sell both information and physical products online and off. And I don't use cash I can't afford to spend.
I don't know how to make it any simpler than that guys.
