Okay, I have tried to drive home the point about keeping your cash safe by just keeping it in the bank. That's a given. As well, most of you including myself still have to work a regular job. Most of us have been taught just to get a job, invest in the stock market and just keep plugging away until retirement.
Right? Wrong!
Yeah, you still need a job but what if that job went away tomorrow? You might be getting severance pay, or just what you're owed for the last two weeks, or you have a pension plan. Yeah, so? You might even be getting Employment Insurance, but that may last a year. You still have bills guys.
You still need to make extra income. What? your investments will help you? Good luck with that. With the way the Feds and other countries are printing money, the cash you have in the bank will be worth even less.
Gold or Silver? You better understand those sectors big time. Good luck with that too.
Forget all that crap! Make more money; make profits in a small side business. If I can do it you can. Think about what you're good at and could make a side income at. Don't spend money you can't afford guys. Franchises? No! A Retail Store? No! Go into a business with your friends or relatives? Even worse!
Do something you know about, understand and has a legitimate chance of making money. Think about what you do in your job. Are you a manager at a business? You could hire your services out as a consultant to businesses that are similar.
As long as there's no conflict with your employer, do it! Have a hobby you do at home and could make extra cash with?
Do it. Like I said though, don't spend money you can't afford. I don't care if it's your brother who says it's guaranteed not to lose. Don't do it. Don't be friggin' stupid. Yeah, it will take a while to start making money. But don't quit or give up. Do the business in your spare time, keep working your job and keep your cash in the bank. You'll sleep better at night and by the time you start making a side income, you'll be happier and so will the wife.
I don't care if your business only makes 10 bucks the first month, you made cash and can expand on it. Yes I'll repeat it, don't use money you can't afford. You'll have a job where you make a living and make profits on the side in a business.
